Alicia Gibson relinquished the Miss Teen Eleuthera title one week after this interview was given.

The reason given was that she has decided to focus on her college education and her pursuit for her degree in Law. The pageant was held on June 27, 2009.

Along side her is an emotional former Miss Bahamas, Nadia Johnson, who is smiling with tears in her eyes. The tears were for Guius Bethel the founder of the Miss Eleuthera Teen Pageant who passed away the week of the Pageant.
