FIFA opening to feature Bahamian-made video
The delegates of the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) will be treated to a thrilling video shot in the Bahamas when the 59th FIFA Congress opens in Nassau. FIFA will hold its Congress at the Atlantis Resort on June 2 and 3.
The video was done largely with a Bahamian cast and crew. Swiss Production Company VisualPark hired Bahamian production manager Heather Carey to put together a solid team of local crew and talent to shoot the video. Locations included Festival Place, Parliament Square, the steps of Frederick Street, Arawak Cay, Pirates of Nassau Museum and the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas.
The local crew included assistant director Charles Smith, who is well known to Bahamians as the host of the show, Electric Air and the director of Baha-Men videos. Julian Lord worked as key grip) with Antionne and Vaughn Rolle serving as grip assists and Apryl Weech working as Stylist and hair and makeup coordinator. Talent was comprised of 15 children between the ages of 5 and 12 representing the Bahamas and other nationalities.
Children are pictured rehearsing a scene at Festival Place on Prince George Dock.
