Traffic safety tips
The royal Bahamas police force considers your safety while using our streets most important.
In an effort to reduce the chances of an accident we recommend that you follow these safety tips:
- Please observe all road signs.
- Buckle up the life you save may be your own.
- Speed kills.
- Drunk drivers drive drunk.
(Please refrain from driving when intoxicated)
- Be mindful of other road users.
- Remember to keep left.
- Helmets help to save lives.
Please remember that the speed limit for all cars on the highway is 45mph, for trucks & buses 30mph. the speed limit in all of the settlements is 15mph for all vehicles.
