Law To Take Its Course For Convicted Inmate.

(Nassau, Bahamas) The Ministry of National Security has advised the Governor General, following the 1 February 2010 Meeting of the Advisory Committee on the Prerogative of Mercy, that the case of Godfrey Sawyer was not one in which the Prerogative of Mercy should be exercised, and that the law should take its course.
Mr. Sawyer was convicted of the murder of Sterling Eugene, and was sentenced to death on 9 November 2009.
