Hon. Desmond Bannister Becomes Minister of Education

Following the official resignation of the Hon. Carl Bethel from his Cabinet position as Minister of Education on November 30th, to assume his full-time role as elected Chairman of the Free National Movement (FNM), the government today announced that the Hon. Desmond Bannister has been appointed Minister of Education. Furthermore it was announced that the Hon. Charles Maynard will take on the role of Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture.
The Cabinet Office also advised that there has been no adjustment to the portfolio responsibilities of either Ministry.
The Hon. Desmond Bannister has been reassigned from the position now being held by Min. Maynard, who was elevated from his position of Minister of State for Culture.
