TaDa 'No One Else'

Outstanding Bahamian recording artiste TaDa has been a forerunner representing for Bahamian artistes internationally. She was the first female artiste from the Bahamas to have a music video on TEMPO and TaDa is definitely no stranger to being the first when it comes to music achievements. In 2008, TaDa wrote and recorded the Bahamas tourism ads with Fred Ferguson, headlined the Miss Teen USA pageant and performed at the Kanye West foundation in Los Angeles. She was the music consultant and had songs appear in Mari Govan’s feature film ‘Rain’ and is currently working as the music supervisor on an upcoming
 feature by Kareem Mortimer.
 
Her latest music video “No One Else” was released in style with a release party at Club Uptown in Nassau, Bahamas on October 2nd, 2009. Media, fans and fellow artistes were out in their numbers to support TaDa and the video is all set for international release for November 2009. 
 
The new video for the song “No One Else” was directed by Charles A. Smith and produced by Burton Wallace . Tada explains that the song “No One Else” is a “classic tag of war love story, where one party is all in and the other is playing games.” The video was shot at Times Square in New York, the New York subway, at a studio in Miami, Florida as well as Uptown Lounge in Nassau, Bahamas.
 
TaDa especially wants to shout out Charlie Smith, who has done videos for Bahamen, and album covers for artists like Joss Stone. She says “it feels good to be able to finally do a music video in the Bahamas, and with a Bahamian director and producer. I was honoured that both Charlie and Burton approached me and were interested in working with me to shoot the ‘No One Else’ video. The song producer Sketch is definitely running Nassau with hit singles popping up on the top new Bahamian artists projects, and is now working on material with major artists like Keri Hilson.”
 
Besides having the brand new video for “No One Else” TaDa has also been featured in the latest video by NCity for “Like Me”. Both videos have already started to make a major impact putting the top Bahamian female artists on the international music map.
