Miss Global Bahamas Swimsuit Competition - 10 Bahamian Beauties prepare for upcoming final.

On Sunday afternoon, April 26th, ten Bahamian beauties lit up the pool and beach catwalks at the Wyndham Nassau Resort & Crystal Palace Casino in an all out battle to win the hotly contested Swimsuit competition segment of the Miss Global Bahamas Pageant.

 
Later that evening the bevy of competitors continued the contest in the Talent and Evening Gown segments of the premier pageant. The winner and first ever, Miss Global Bahamas will be crowned at the Grand event, being held at the Wyndham on the evening of Sunday, May 3rd, 2009.

Director and President of the Miss Global Bahamas Pageant, Desiree Moss-Tynes, a descendant of Hatchet Bay, Eleuthera and former beauty contestant, says, "The organization's aim is to empower young ladies through pageantry by providing real opportunities for them
to excel through exposure, through structured dynamics, and an enriching personal enhancement pageantry program. We seek to instill self confidence, good moral values, and national pride, with emphasis on personal character and leadership, thus preparing young ladies today for the road ahead tomorrow.”

The Miss Global Bahamas contestants compete in the following categories, Participation, Judges Interview, Swimsuit, Speech, Talent, Evening Gown, Purpose, Congeniality, Model Look, Popularity, Miss Photogenic & Best Float.
