D.E.U OFFICERS MAKE MAJOR DRUG ARREST

(Nassau, Bahamas) - Five (5) people, three (3) Bahamians, ages 56, 45 and 32 along with two (2) Guyanese ages 28 and 26 years, are in police custody after they were found in possession of a large quantity of suspected cocaine.

Preliminary reports indicate that around 5:00 pm on Sunday 19th February, 2012 officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit acting on information proceeded to Bayshore Marina, East Bay Street where they discovered the drugs.

The drugs weighed ten (10) pounds and have an estimated street value of eighty thousand ($80,000.00) dollars. Active police investigations continue.
