(Nassau, The Bahamas)… She may be the wife of The Bahamas’ hottest up and coming gospel rapper, but Tatiana Gibson nee Tinker is ready to step out on her own terms by showcasing her musical talents with the launch of her debut album I’m Alive on September 16th.

Despite the fact that her album is not even out yet, Tatiana has already garnered a following of loyal fans who she allowed into her life as she worked on her project. By using social networking sites such as Facebook and Youtube, followers got the opportunity to see the ever-cheerful Tatiana go from the songwriting process, to laying down tracks in the studio, to coming to a compromise with producers on what the end result should be and simply sharing little words of inspiration for them to pursue their own dreams.

“The album is more a mixture of R&B and upbeat gospel songs,” Tatiana says of her project which has already got it’s jumpstart with the single In Love With A Stranger. “It’s not your traditional gospel. In fact, with the first R&B song on the album, you have to really listen to know who or what I am truly singing about.”

While this may be Tatiana’s official debut album, it shows her experience, maturity and passion for music and the industry as a performer, producer and writer. In the past, she’s served as an executive producer, background vocalist and a touring backup singer for Send Me by J.Chase, who was her fiancé at the time of its release. Now a newlywed, she is thankful for her husband’s support of her solo project.

“He has been there every step of the way,” she says of J.Chase (Eleuthera, Native) . “Whether it was emotional, physical or financial [he] always encouraged me to push and pursue my goals. He’s also featured on two of my tracks.”

In all, I’m Alive consists of 10 original songs which serve as a soundtrack to the singer’s personal and spiritual life. The meaningful lyrics accentuated by Tatiana’s pop yet sincere voice is reminiscent of contemporary Christian acts such as Yolanda Adams, Michelle Williams, Mary Mary or Trin-i-te 5:7. As a young Christian, Tatiana says she wants her listeners to know that she stands for something positive.

“When people listen to the album, I want them to know that I stand for righteousness,” she emphasized. “I want people to remember that we need God in order to make it and nothing they face is too hard, if He's on your side. I also want people to be able to reflect on their own experiences when they listen to the lyrics. Overall, I simply hope that they would just enjoy it.”

The album is currently available online and at several music stores in The Bahamas. Fans can also get a sample of Tatiana’s sound at www.tatianalovesmusic.com, while those in Nassau can even request autographed copies via her Facebook page, www.facebook.com/tatianalovesmusic that she will personally deliver.

And speaking of delivering, Tatiana plans to deliver her contribution to the contemporary gospel scene by performing songs from her album, live with her husband J.Chase as well as Mr. J, V-Mac, the Elevation Band and DJ God Son on Friday September 16th, 2011. The event begins at 7p.m at Faith Tabernacle Church of God on Golden Isles Road opposite the Detention Center.
