CEHS wins Eleuthera 2010 High School Track Meet
(Rock Sound, Eleuthera) - Athletes from all the Secondary Schools in The Eleutheras convened in Rock Sound on March 04 and 05 for the annual All Eleuthera High School track and field meet, which took place over two days at the Preston Albury High School (PAHS) track.
Over the two day period athletes propelled themselves in hot competition to garner as many points as they could for their schools. Harbour Island Age School (HIAA), Spanish Wells All Age School (SWAA), North Eleuthera High School (NEHS), Central Eleuthera High School (CEHS), Deep Creek Middle School (DCM), Windermere High School and the host, PAHS, put their youthful energy on the grounds with the hope of leaving nothing but a trail of dust on the track.

The event was incident free except for gentle reminders from the officer on the scene to overly enthusiastic parents, “Remember this is an event for children”.
Organizers expressed satisfaction with how it all progressed over the days from about 10:00am to 2:30pm each day.

For the champions CEHS, there was a group prayer, and then muted celebrations before they boarded their buses and with a few hooting horns headed out as the 2010 All Eleuthera High School Track and Field Champions.
For meet organizer, Tony Crean and supporting staff it was another successful event with lots of talent and promise on display.
