Some Eleuthera Customers of Cable Bahamas Crippled by Apparently Elusive Problem

(Governor's Harbour) - Just how many customers of Cable Bahamas in the Governor's region were being affected by a crippling lack of Internet Service for near one week, is not clear. What is equally unclear is whether or not technicians from the company are aware what the problem may be.

"It's like looking for a needle in a haystack" commented one who was very reluctant to answer any questions as they scoured lines in the region surrounding Worker's House.

This included not having any service during the day and for a few nights service would resume just after sunset, only to fall offline almost like clockwork just after sunrise.

The company does seem to be attempting to fix the problem but has not given any indication as to how long the service may be out.

Update: (3:30 pm - March 3, 2010) - Late on Wednesday, March 3, The Eleutheran learned that the problem was identified and a part would need to be brought into the island, with the anticipated resolution shortly thereafter.
