A Critical Need For Volunteers on Eleuthera Exists

(Eleuthera, Bahamas) - A People-to-People Volunteer Seminar is being held on the island of Eleuthera to facilitate the newly recruited volunteers to the programme.  The seminar is aimed at educating the new volunteer into the programme through exciting and interactive sessions.  The seminar has been designed to enhance and entice the volunteer to provide service excellence to our visitors, giving a unique experience of a lifetime.

The expected benefits of the seminar are to educate the volunteers on how to provide the People-to-People experience from pre-visit to post visit.

The Seminar will cover the following Topics:

•    People to People Overview/Experience
•    Protocol
•    Art of Entertaining
•    Cooking & Menus
•    Table Décor and Laying
•    Service Excellence

The proposed seminar is scheduled to be held in north, central and south Eleuthera on February 16th, 17th & 18th, 2010.  Each session will be presented by People-to-People Volunteers and/ MOTA Training & Education Lecturers.  The presentations will use a variety of teaching methods to engage and excite the volunteers to the opportunities available to them as well as provide suggestive ideas on how to do the People-to-People experience right.

The seminar is being implemented at this time, as we are in critical need for volunteers on the island of Eleuthera.  The People-to-People page on Bahamas.com is being upgraded and will focus on the Family Islands including Eleuthera; to this end we are looking to capitalize and maximize our attendance of 30 persons per venue.

If you are community minded, if you wish to become a part of the wider global community, if you would like to be a part of showing off what is great about Eleuthera, if you would like to develop friends outside of The Bahamas, then the People to People Programme is for you.

Please contact the Eleuthera Tourist Office @ 242-332-2142 to register for the Seminar.
