27 Year Old Eleuthera Man Dies from Stab Wound
Tweet
(Eleuthera, The Bahamas) - Early Monday morning at around 2:20 am, police were informed of an altercation which occurred at Daddy Joe's nightclub, outside of Gregory Town, Eleuthera. 27 year old, Terron Albury of Gregory Town received a fatal stab wound to the neck while reportedly attempting to stop a fight between Jenaldo Farrington of Hatchet Bay and Kenrick MacSweeney of Gregory Town.
Authorities say, that at least three other individuals were involved in the altercation, possibly trying to stop it, resulting in them also receiving stab wounds. Alex MacSweeney of Gregory Town received a stab wound to his left chest, and was airlifted to Nassau where family members say he is in serious condition in the hospital. Kenneth MacSweeney reportedly received a wound to his right calf, while a third man, Warren Cartwright, was stabbed in the back.
Jenaldo Farrington, it is believed, was the only person brandishing a weapon, and was said to be out on bail when the incident happened.
He was taken into custody, along with Kenrick MacSweeney as the two who were originally fighting.
Terron's death took the murder count in the country this year to 87.
After about two years without a murder, this became the third murder in Eleuthera for 2009, all via stabbing and occurring in just over one month.
