Community Supports Successful First Ever Little Miss North Eleuthera Pageant
Tweet
Petite, Talented, Reney Robinson, Little Miss Pineapple Festival 2009, Crowned Little Miss North Eleuthera before a capacity crowd.
(Lower Bogue, North Eleuthera) The final of the first ever Little Miss North Eleuthera Pageant was held at the Purple Mae's Restaurant in Lower Bogue on Sunday September 20, 2009 before a capacity, well adorned audience. This event turned out to be one that was very much embraced by the community with the engaged audience's cheers, encouragement and celebration.
Organisers used the opportunity to recognise and present plaques to two members of the Lower Bogue community, Mr. Glenroy Albury and Ms. Malvena Culmer for their contributions to the community over many years.
The nine young contestants wore sashes representing various communities and landmarks in North Eleuthera. Ms. Michelle Bain, a key organiser of the pageant emphasized the importance of maintaining a cohesive bridge within the communities - those represented included from Hatchet Bay to Harbour Island.
Organizers are now accepting applications for a Miss Teen North Eleuthera competition. Details will be published as they become available.
More about this successful event will be published in the soon to be circulated next print issue of The Eleutheran.
