Cancer Society of Eleuthera Takes First Group of Women to Nassau for Free Mammograms.
The first group of women taking advantage of the Eleuthera Cancer Society’s, free mammogram program, are set to leave for Nassau on SouthernAir at 7:35 am this coming Saturday, May 16th.
The group of 14 ladies, accompanied by Kathy Berner, former president and long time advocate with the Eleuthera Cancer Society, will split up in to two groups on their arrival into Nassau, with group one heading to Doctor’s Hospital for mammogram sessions and group two traveling on to the Nassau Cancer Society.
The group at the Society, will have the opportunity to fellowship and be encouraged by the breast cancer survivor support group, ‘Sister, Sister’, headed by Andrea Sweeting.
After lunch, the groups switch locations, with group two going to Doctor’s Hospital for their sessions and group one meeting with the ‘Sister, Sister’ organization.
