Thompson, the lone occupant of the vehicle, had been traveling southeasterly toward WaterFord out of Deep Creek when the accident occurred near Pinder's Hardware. She was pronounced dead by a doctor and her body removed to Nassau.

Police say that at approximately 1:00a.m. on Friday, 18, April,  34-year-old Kenyatta Thompson of Wemyss Bight lost control of her new 2008, black Chevy Trailblazer (license plate 6038)  and crashed 60ft into the bushes off the road. Her vehicle cleared a path through the bush and came to a stop on its left side, after slamming into a tree.

Her body was found partially ejected through the front windshield of her vehicle, where sadly, she became the fifth person for 2008 to die as a result of a car accident on Eleuthera - there have been four accidents to date resulting in the five fatalities.

Thompson, the lone occupant of the vehicle, had been traveling southeasterly toward WaterFord out of Deep Creek when the accident occurred near Pinder's Hardware.  She was pronounced dead by a doctor and her body removed to Nassau.

No other vehicle was involved.
