North Eleuthera Regatta - Photo Display, It was Hot in Harbour Island.
It was hot in Harbour Island this past weekend, and I don't just mean the weather! The North Eleuthera Regatta, which took place during the Discovery Day weekend saw, according to organizers, well over 2,000 persons flock to the island for three days of sailing, sumptuous island food, and frolicking party fun. There was daily racing on the waters, beach bashes, pool parties, boat cruising, food galore and lots of local visitors on golf carts scooting around the island.
The Regatta Committee said it was a complete success despite having to compete with former sponsor Burns House-Heinekin events for the attention of the thousands. All in attendance seemed to take full advantage of both, transitioning ever so smoothly from afternoon pool parties to evening street fun on the Regatta Site.
Take a look at some of the sights of the 2008 weekend and make plans now to be there in 2009! -->
