Teachers and Education Officers invited in for presentation.

(Banks Road, Govenor's Harbour, Eleuthera Bahamas) - Teachers within the fields of Agriculture and Science at the Secondary and Primary schools as well as Education Officers, on Eleuthera, were invited to Leon Levy Nature Preserve on Friday April 15th for an onsite presentation by the Preserve Manager, Mr. Mark Daniels. For the Preserve which opened its gates to the public on March 24th, 2011, this was part of its mandate of preservation and education.

The presentation was meant to walk teachers through the education programs available at the Preserve for varied grade levels, in line with the Bahamas government curriculum.

More than a dozen educators from North Eleuthera High School, Harbour Island All Age, Wemyss Bight Primary, Rock Sound Primary, Central Eleuthera High School and the District Education Office participated in the Friday morning presentation.

I always knew he had a strong scientific interest and now he's working in an area his grandfather served in for over 35 years with the Ministry of Agriculture in Jamaica. You go Mark...keeping the tradition alive!
