Bizarre Stabbing Reported In Wemyss Bight

(Wemyss Bight, Eleuthera) - T. Pinder (33) of Wemyss Bight was stabbed several times about the body and had to be airlifted to Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau for further treatment according to reliable sources. The incident occured at the'T' Junction at the Wemyss Bight Clinic in South Eleuthera on August 23, at about 5:00pm. He was reportedly standing with three other young men from the area when  27-year-old R. Symonette allegedly started threatening the victim for no apparent reason stated.  The assailant was said to have pulled a switch blade knife and charged the victim stabbing him about the body, then continuing to stab Pinder after he fell down, reportedly saying,  “you see that, you bleeding from all over, I could have killed you”, before fleeing the area.

Shortly after midnight the suspect was arrested on Queen's Highway, Wemyss Bight. He was interviewed, charged and appeared before the Rock Sound magistrate court, before Mr. Wilson on 26/8/10. He was remanded to H.M.P until the next court date.
