Chris Brown, fresh from Beijing Olympics was on the track on Friday evening (29
August) at the Weltklasse Zürich meet in the Letzigrung Stadium where the ÅF
Golden League 2008 resumed after the Olympic Games.
The renowned Zürich meet gathered 38 Olympic medallists, among them 14 winners
and 50 finalists from the recent Beijing Games for what meet director Patrick
Magyar calls “the Olympic Games in one night”.
Chris Brown finished third behind Jeremy Wariner and LaShawn Merritt. American
David Neville who pulled off an unappealing dive to rob Brown of the Bronze in
the men's 400m at The Bird's Nest, finished 8th.
Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie who also participated in the meet, finished 4th in a
time of 22.99 in the women's 200m.
