The releases reads as follows: "The Ministry of Health wishes to inform that Public Health Community Clinics in New Providence and the Family Islands are operating with limited staff due to industrial action by the Bahamas Nurses Union. About 50% of New Providence based nursing staff in Public Heath Clinics are involved. "The Ministry of Health and the Department of Public Health assures the Bahamian populace that every effort is being made to ensure that essential health care services are minimally disrupted. "We request the Public's cooperation in ensuring that patients come to the Clinics for medical emergencies only.
