I think that it is both an EMBARRASSMENT and right down DISGUSTING that nurses have seen fit to literally abandon the lives of the Bahamian people for the almighty dollar! I'm sure that the nurses do deserve health insurance, but don't we all? We MUST recognize that the Bahamas Government CANNOT AFFORD IT! And as for nurses complaining that they don't "want to go in the same room with the patients they treat" as it was said in parliament... well arn't we all equal? What is so wrong with sharing a room with another sick Bahamian?
The "government" nurses of this country work very hard, especially in the Family Islands. However they must bear in mind that they are-CIVIL SERVANTS- here to serve the people of this country. Other civil servants want health insurance too, me being one of them, but i'm not going to go on strike, because I have enough sense to understand what is happening globally. We need to be on our hands and knees every day thanking God for A JOB!

When ya dumb ya dangerous! The next time you get sick (which I'm sure you will!) think about your comments after you've paid your private doctor hundreds of dollars or was checked into a trolley in A&E only to still turn around and need the nurse to clean the stool from your hip or the urine from your catheter plus still turn around and ask the nurse who you have no respect for "Nurse, explain to me what doctor said cause I don't get it"!!!!

To Our Nurses, PLEASE don't giveup for the $$ they say you might get. We need you for ourselves and most for our kids.
Nothing like a good Nurse in your settlement. Lost Deanne in GTown due to natural demise.
We ALL Need Help
