The Eleutheran - Eleuthera News, Sport and much more from Eleuthera: J.Chase Returns To Eleuthera With Tour and Concert J.Chase Returns To Eleuthera With Tour and Concert ================================================================================ admin on 25 January, 2010 (Eleuthera, The Bahamas) - After making history as the first Eleutheran to launch his album outside The Bahamas, landing some of the most coveted performance spots on the local hip hop scene and blazing his way through Canada with a Toronto tour, J.Chase is an overcomer returning home to share his mission, his ministry and of course, his music. A few years ago, Craig Gibson left the island to pursue a career in the IT field. What many didn’t realize is that he left with a hidden passion for music. That passion ignited the spark that fueled out 11 tracks to create his first album Send Me which has several singles in heavy rotation in The Bahamas and abroad. Now he’s ready to come back home as J.Chase (abbreviation for Jesus Chaser) and leave a seed of inspiration with an up and coming generation. J.Chase’s debut album features appearances from industry veterans such as Dunamus Soundz CEO Lavard ‘Manifest’ Parks, IceBerg, V-Mac, Dano Rolle, GanGreen and Prophetic Voices. J.Chase has even landed some major interviews and gigs including a nationally televised session on Grace TV, Canada’s version of America’s TBN. “I am excited to be coming back to Eleuthera as an overcomer,” admits J.Chase. “An overcomer is a person that is successful in dealing with a problem or a difficulty. I overcame a lot of things and I am now in a place to share my experiences. Thanks to Freedom Records Ministries and Extreme Youth Entertainment, I am able to headline my first Bahamian concert in the place it all began.” The Return of the Overcomer concert is set for 7pm Friday, February 5th at the Wesley Methodist Church auditorium in J.Chase’s hometown Palmetto Point. Concert goers can expect to receive $5 discounts off of his CD with their concert tickets. J.Chase will also be bringing along some friends to hit the stage including mime performer/dancer Lenelle Michelle and entertainers V-mac, Ryan Jupp and Lyrically Blessed. Also gracing the stage is co-executive producer and lead background singer on the Send Me album, Tatiana Tinker, who happens to be J.Chase’s fiancé. “We have a lot of talent joining us on stage but prior to that we’ll be going into some of the high schools to allow the students to get to know us and why we do what we do, how they can pursue what we do and just make positive and sound decisions in their lives,” said J.Chase. “Growing up on Eleuthera, we didn’t have a lot of sources of new inspiration outside of Bahamian track star Chris Brown. Now that I’m out there, I want to come home and show them that if someone they know can do it, they can do it to.” And done it J.Chase has. The young man who grew up on an island with about 11,000 people now has his music heard by millions via iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, LimeWire, Napster, MySpace and even as ringtones through Nokia. For just $5 per ticket, Eleutherans will get to hear what the world is embracing with J.Chase’s music. Concert goers can also expect to receive $5 discounts off of his CD with their concert tickets. Tickets are available at (242) 332-1180 or (242) 470-4875. By Arthia Nixon of the Ambassadors Agency
