The Eleutheran - Eleuthera News, Sport and much more from Eleuthera: DCMS Students Awarded Over $100,000 to Attend U.S. Boarding Schools DCMS Students Awarded Over $100,000 to Attend U.S. Boarding Schools ================================================================================ admin on 28 April, 2008 Along with their DCMS teachers, these students traveled around the United States in January to tour and interview at eight potential schools. “These students have worked hard and undoubtedly deserve this good fortune at continuing their education at top boarding schools in the U.S.,” said Jennifer Bateman, Principal at Deep Creek Middle School. “I hope that they take full advantage of all the resources available at these schools and use this opportunity to open more doors in the future both here at home and abroad. These students have truly demonstrated that they are the future leaders of The Bahamas.” Chanel Williams will be attending The Lawrenceville School (http://www.lawrenceville.org/) in New Jersey and hopes to join the swim team. Travis Clarke has been accepted into a specialized program at Trinity Pawling (http://www.trinitypawling.org/) in New York. Alexander Cates will be enrolling at Lawrence Academy (http://www.lacademy.edu/) in Massachusetts. Other graduating DCMS students will be heading to Preston H. Albury High School and Central Eleuthera High School.
